Hunger Relief

Providing food, restoring dignity, building sustainability

Hunger Relief

Through its Hunger Relief and Anandhanam initiatives, APCT rescues surplus food from various sources and distributes nutritious meals to people experiencing food insecurity. This programme simultaneously addresses hunger, reduces food waste, and promotes human dignity.

No One Should Sleep Hungry

The Hunger Relief Project is APCT's flagship humanitarian initiative dedicated to reducing hunger while minimizing food waste. The project rescues surplus food from weddings, restaurants, hotels, corporate cafeterias, educational institutions, and social events, ensuring that nutritious meals reach vulnerable individuals with dignity and care. To promote a circular economy, unavoidable food waste is converted into organic compost, reducing landfill waste while supporting sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.

Composting

Organic waste generated from food rescue operations and community activities is converted into nutrient-rich compost, supporting sustainable agriculture and demonstrating practical circular economy solutions.
